Cost: The initial visit will be $125 and last 1 hour 15 min. approximately. Follow up visits will be $85 each.

About the Acupuncturist: Kelly Sandberg, a licensed acupuncturist in private practice, has been a lifelong Alaskan apart from training in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she received a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine. Then in Szechwan, China, she observed complimentary medicine in practice with the blending of allopathic and traditional Chinese medicine. As a science, acupuncture is used to choose and locate specific points on the body that will affect a certain disease process. The art is in understanding Oriental theory, diagnostic selection of an individuals body points, and in creating a comfortable relaxed experience. Additional methods to enhance treatment include moxibustion, electro-acupuncture and herbology. Kelly finds that combining western allopathic medicine with ancient eastern theory expands the scope of effective treatment for patients. Used together, the two systems of medicine enhance the effect of one another.
